POSConnect is a client-ready and user configurable and installable product that provides a seamless real-time integration between any Bookstore POS and Student Information System (SIS).

POSConnect can be integrated with any Bookstore POS by posting XML documents via HTTP(S) protocol. It can be customized to each client's specific environment by allowing the end-users to configure parameters in configuration files. Options not included in the base product can be customized at client's request.

POSConnect Implementation


CSP middleware product has been designed to be installed by the end user. However, the setup and installation requires resources that are familiar with the operating systems environment as well as familiarity with the native SIS ERP application environment. PSS will setup and install the product based on the information provided in the setup worksheet by the client on both test and production fully tested and functional for a flat fee which includes a 4 hours of consultation session with the end user. However, if the client elects to perform this task Product Licensing & Installation support can be obtained at the standard hourly rates.

POSConnect is most commonly installed on the SIS application server; however, it can also be installed on any server including the bookstore POS server as long as the required system access and open TCP/IP ports are provided.

POSConnect system requirements:

  • Java 6 or higher (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • 128 MB memory per listener instance
  • Open ports for communication between the bookstore server(s), POSConnect listener host(s), and the SIS database server
  • Implementation Time One Day or Less
